2018 Predictions, Fall Review

2018 has really lived up to the hype.

Energy has been consistently chaotic, making it a challenge for most of us to get through a week or month with some sense of normalcy.

With my 2018 Predictions articles as our guide, I thought it would be an optimal time to review our growth for the year and prepare for the energy of 2019.

The Bumpiest of Roads
World and celestial events made August through September a challenging time. If we held steady with our meditation practice and the field guide of our intentions, we moved through this period keeping our vibration mostly in tact while still reaping the rewards of an enhanced growth period.

Prep for 2019
2018 held the promise of great growth for the individual.

From my Predictions, Part 3, article, I asked, “How do you want to show up for the challenge?”

To help us stay on track, I posed the following questions:

• How did you push yourself forward into action?
• How did you react to adversity?
• What actions did you take to help society in a positive way?
• What did you do to make yourself feel more connected to your spirit?
• How did you work through the resistance and into empowerment?
• How did you show up every day to build your life?

I am noticing through Consultations and Mentorship that many clients are preparing their energy for the challenges 2019 will offer. They are reviewing their work over the past year, asking themselves the exact questions listed above. Many are feeling a bit discombobulated by it all, but ready to create a new foundation. That is exactly what this time of year is asking of us.

As I mentioned in my Predictions, Part 3, article:
“As we move towards October- November, we will feel some relief in the turbulent energy we have been experiencing. This is mostly due to the shift in seasons and help from nature shifting our attention inward. Make sure to review what you have learned throughout the year. Move into love at this time. Allow what you have created through the year to permeate into your knowledge of self. See what steps you were able to conquer and make happen. This is a time for self appreciation for the moves you were able to create.”

Keep it Secret, Keep it Safe
Recently I was in my car listening to my favorite album: Black on Both Sides by Mos Def.

I was thinking about the transition from 2018 to 2019 and how the energy that is available now is perfect for empowering our path into the new year.

At this moment, the song Fear Not of Man played.

It perfectly embodied the theme we are headed for in 2019.

“Then how do people get better? (Hmmmm)
Well, from my understanding people get better
When they start to understand that, they are valuable
And they not valuable because they got a whole lot of money
Or cause somebody, think they sexy
But they valuable cause they been created by God
And God, makes you valuable
And whether or not you, recognize that value is one thing
You got a lot of societies and governments
Tryin to be God, wishing that they were God
They wanna create satellites and cameras everywhere
And make you think they got the all-seeing eye
Eh I guess The Last Poets wasn't, too far off
When they said that certain people got a God Complex
I believe it's true
I don't get phased out by none of that, none of that
Helicopters, the TV screens, the newscasters, the
Satellite dishes they just, wishing
They can't really never do that
When they tell me to fear they law
When they tell me to try to
Have some fret in my heart behind the things that they do
This is what I think in my mind
And this is what I say to them
And this is what I'm saying to you check it
All over the world hearts pound with the rhythm
Fear not of men because men must die
Mind over matter and soul before flesh
Angels hold a pen keep a record in time
Which is passing and running like a caravan trader
The world is overrun with the wealthy and the wicked
But God is sufficient in disposing of affairs
Gunmen and stockholders try to merit my fear
But God is sufficient over plans they prepared”

​“2019 holds many challenges for the individual. It is time for all of us to step in into our light, shine bright, and allow others the space to do the same. Through one mindful decision at a time, we can all rise above the strife and conflict to create more harmony in our life and for others around us. If there is one mantra for 2019 it is this: the more we empower individual expression in others, the more freedom we all receive to grow, create, and thrive based on our authentic values and priorities.”
