Practice for Finding Calm

You must find the calm within yourself now.
The energy on Earth is chaotic and mumbled.
​It’s hard to find your vibration within it all.
Close your eyes.
Notice your breath.
Acknowledge all of the chaos, stress, confusion that is happening around you.
Let those emotions be, let them sit.
Let yourself disconnection from these emotions.
Allow yourself to find a moment that is uninhibited by attachment.
Allow yourself to navigate towards your center, your calm.

Notice your breath.
Reconnect with balance, deepening your experience of calm.
Reconnect to earth, reconnect to the cosmos.
Notice the space you inhabit on this planet. Find your home here.
Sit in this for a moment.
Connect deeper into this experience of calm and extend your time in this place of meditation.

Before you conclude, decide how you want to structure the remainder of your day.
Ask yourself what really needs priority right now.
Let all of the other thoughts fall away for the time being.
Decide that once you come out of this place of calm and reflection, that you will move ahead in your day with purpose, inspired by this space where you were able to clear out and reassess.
Notice your breath.
When you are ready, open your eyes.

To do this practice does not mean that you do not have compassion or empathy for yourself or others that are going through a great deal.
This practice reframes your experience into that of observation.
It creates the space for you to step back from your bubble of stress, strife, and frustration.
It allows yourself a moment to regroup and reconnect with your body, your mind, your spirit.

Use this practice as much as you like.
Use it as a morning ritual to help you find your center and focus on priorities for the day.
It will help you stay on track during the intense growth period you are experiencing now.
