Check out this article from KOLO News 8 about a reading I did on a very haunted building in Reno.
Ghost and goblins begin to show this time of year around the neighborhood and in movies. Many people might describe this as Halloween spirit. I pay a different attribute to those ghosts and goblins though, and I describe them as Autumn.
Life gets busy in Spring and crazy in Summer. Days are spent trying to keep up with the movement of the sun and then crashing to bed when we know that is the only reasonable option left in the day. When the sun starts to slow, the leaves start to turn, and our body follows suit. There is not as much time in the day for errands and the to do list. Our awareness of the idle of the spirit becomes more tangible to our hyper-functioning psyche. Moments, although busy, have an air of contemplativeness. We begin to retrace our steps from the events of the year and plot our transitions for the future. These are the ghosts and goblins that Autumn bring. Thoughts and ideas that resurrect themselves for further contemplation and possible healing.
Nature shows us how the tone of spirit changes with the seasons. I appreciate the wisdom of the changes it facilitates.
