I gifted myself a new phone this New Year's in attempts to catch up with technology. Last night I noticed that, in all of my backing up and restoring, my calendar and contacts have been wiped from my phone's home: my computer.
I started to freak out.
Testing possible solutions to no avail, I frantically began imagining various ways to manage through the day(s) until I had the proper time to disect and conspire with this situation. Finally, I went to take a shower, as I do when I am frustrated. That space slows me down, calms my emotions and helps me conjure more productive thoughts.
I knew I could continue to freak, worry about something that didn't really deserve the time. In the end, all would work out just fine. So, how did I want to spend my time until the situation's resolution? Honestly, I wanted to spend time with my loved ones, enjoy my warm & cozy home, and ponder life through conversations with friends and quiet moments in nature.
And here in lies 2014. Deciding how I want to value my time.
